About our plinths

Standard duty plinths are fabricated in 12mm (1/2 inch) MDF, which takes paint well and provides a stable and fault-free base for finishing. They are robust and light in weight.

We mitre our plinths all round so that you don’t see the furry board edges. We can reinforce particular plinths for heavy duty and/or make them in 18 or 25mm MDF. Our plinths are a popular choice for Fine art, fashion and retail, events and photo shoots, Florists .

We  also make plinths in real wood veneers or in plywood and can make cylindrical and other bespoke shapes. We can provide glass or perspex hoods (cases) to order for any of our plinths.

We also make plinths using Zero added Formaldehyde,(some times called formaldehyde free MDF)  developed specifically for use in Gallery and museum  applications, where formaldehyde emissions need to be kept to a minimum. – Please contact us for product specifications.
