Trestle in Birch Plywood

These traditional hand-made folding trestles are a joy to use and are a robust utilitarian classic, re-invented in birch ply and finished in hard wax oil. We imagined these for use in an art gallery environment but they are at home anywhere.   

We couldn't find proper wooden folding trestles so we decided to make our own to use in the workshop. We first came across this style of trestle in the theatre industry at Flint Scenery, where they are a traditional standard made by the scenic carpentry department for general use within the workshops.
