Artplinths hire

We have more than 200 hire plinths in plenty of sizes, all freshly painted and pristine for your important show. We’re based in London so we can arrange timed delivery and collection. Our goods are well packaged and look sharp straight out of the box.

We also have perspex plinth hoods for hire in 30cm, 40cm and 50cm cubes to team up with the plinths, and we hire out some furniture – for example viewing benches and trestle tables.

Ordering and payment

You have two options:

1. Order on our website and we’ll contact you the same working day to confirm.

2. Order by email and phone:

For orders under £500  Email or phone in your order, and we will arrange payment by card.

For orders over £500  We will issue a pro-forma invoice for advance payment.  

Deposit

Security deposit £50 per item. This is usually assigned to your card as an authorisation (like booking a hotel). When goods are returned we quickly appraise them. If all is well we cancel your deposit. We will contact you if there are any loss or damage issues and we will not debit your card before consulting you. 

We assess damage as follows:
1. Returns in good condition in the protective packaging supplied, with normal handling marks and scuffs are acceptable – no charge.
2. Returns in repairable damaged condition: we deduct £25 per hour per plinth for repairs (usually 1 hour).
3. Returns in irreparable condition: we will charge you the retail value.
4. £15 charged for missing bags/poly pads/damaged packaging and boxes.
5. Perspex cases returned with any marks or damage – we charge retail value as these cannot be repaired. The main source of damage is due to the plinths being dropped on their corners and this must be avoided. In case of loss you will be charged the cost of the item in addition to the hire fee.

Delivery and returns

We can arrange transport for you or you can use your own. We are based in London so we’re very adaptable. We work out the cheapest, most efficient solution. Cost depends on your postcode. For this reason hire prices quoted are always plus delivery. If you are outside London national deliveries are handled by a national courier and can be arranged for overnight delivery. All items are sent out in packaging which should be kept safely and reused for returning them. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that goods are adequately packaged for transport. All items in transit are the responsibility of the client (see Terms & Conditions below).

Evenings and weekends

Orders are usually sent out and returned within office hours. We are not generally available evenings and weekends but we have an out-of-hours container (at E5 8HL) so orders can be collected or returned by your (or sometimes our) couriers any time. 

We’re open 10pm–6pm Monday to Friday for normal collections and deliveries.
